Keys To The Game for the Patriots:
- Contain A.J. Green: Green has snagged 26 passes for 300 yards but 162 of those yards came in the first week. If the Patriots can keep Green out of beast mode, the Bengal passing game will not be near as effective. Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton loves throwing the ball to Green; he has targeted him 51 times in four games. The defense must concentrate on thoroughly covering Green or it could be a long day.
- Maintain The Running Game: The Patriots have utilized an effective running attack to take the pressure off the passing game. Steven Ridley has 174 yards thus far, and LeGarrette Blount has 155. While neither back has impressive individual stats, as a combo, they look very good. The Patriots have the 11th most rushing yards in the NFL. If they can maintain that ranking, this could be one of the better balanced offenses Tom Brady has directed.
- Getting Danny Amendola and/or Rob Gronkowski On The Field: Tom Brady’s greatness lies in how his makes his teammates better. Sometimes he elevates average players to borderline stars. He is pushed the Patriots to 4-0 without maybe his two biggest offensive weapons. Just imagine what this offense could accomplish with both Amendola and Gronkowski in the line up. One of these weeks…
