Chandler Jones, an essential cog in the New England defense, was awarded with AFC defensive player of the month honors for November. Jones has steadily improved each week and has progressed into one of the top pass rushing defensive ends in the NFL.
In his second season, Jones has recorded 10.5 sacks through 11 games, nearly doubling the 6.5 sacks he notched one year ago. Jones also has 32 tackles and a forced fumble on the season.
Jones has been everything the Patriots could possibly hope for. He’s instilled a consistent pass rush into a defense that has historically struggled in getting after opposing quarterbacks.
The 23-year-old has shown an array of moves coming off the edge. He possesses the speed to beat an opponent straight up and the strength to bull through them. The sky is the limit for Jones and winning such an award should only boost his confidence moving forward.
