The last time these two teams played, the Boston Celtics came out victorious. At first glance that sounds good, but realistically, losses to teams like the Sacramento Kings go a long way to earning a better draft pick this year. The inspiring words of the band Go West have me hopeful in that the C’s will start to lose games and land in the Embiid-Parker-Wiggins-Exum zone.
When these teams met last, DeMarcus Cousins and Jared Sullinger went at it, both scoring 31 and grabbing 16 boards. The Kings will be without Marcus Thornton, so they may be better this time around. Jason Terry will get to go against his former club, but that doesn’t really matter to us Celtics fans, as he missed more jumpers with us than he did the previous four seasons combined (at least it seemed that way). Another inspiring statistic is that the Kings have beaten the Celtics at the Sleep Train Arena (what an awful name).
Also, let’s try something new. Answer the poll below about the possible outcomes of tonight’s game. And before I let you go, here is the classic Go West song that has become the theme of my life for absolutely no reason:
Prediction: Celtics 98, Kings 93
