Boston Red Sox vs. Milwaukee Brewers Preview: (2-2)

The Brewers spoiled the Red Sox home opener by scoring four runs in the ninth off Edward Mujica. Jake Peavy battled hard to only let up two runs in his six innings pitched. It was promising to see Peavy get through six innings while he was struggling. Will Middlebrooks showed what he is capable of with a solo home run over the Green Monster.

The Red Sox bats have been solid so far this season, but they have struggled to capitalize with runners on-base. That should be something that sorts itself out as long as they keep producing at the plate.

The Red Sox look to redeem themselves tonight at 7:10 ET against the Brewers. The pitching matchup is Clay Buchholz against Wily Peralta. Buchholz was 12-1 with a 1.74 ERA in 2013, while Peralta was  11-15 with a 4.37 ERA. Buchholz is one of the most interesting cases for the 2014 Red Sox. When healthy, Buchholz is one of the best in the league and has debilitating stuff. The problem for him has been staying healthy, as he missed a lot of last season with right shoulder fatigue.
