Boston Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli announced the dates of the club’s development camp that will be held next week. All of the young talent in Boston’s organization will descend upon Ristuccua Arena in Wilmington, Massachusetts. The annual camp will run from July 9-13.
23 players in total will participate in the camp. All eyes will be on goaltender Malcolm Subban in a group comprised of 13 forwards, nine blue-liners and two goalies. Subban is set to assume the starting role in Providence next season.
Members of the Bruins coaching and training staff will conduct the practice sessions. The public can attend the event free of charge.
We’ll get an up close look at the Bruins 2014 draft picks as four of them are slated to participate in the sessions. They include forwards Anders Bjork, David Pastrnak, Ryan Donato and d-man Emil Johansson.
Linus Arnesson, who was recently signed and drafted last season, will lead the defensive group. Forward Peter Cehlarik, who was also drafted a year ago, is set to participate as well.
Goalie Zane Gothberg will showcase his game alongside Subban.
The Bruins have six players attending the camp on an invite only basis.
Each practice session will begin at 10: 30 a.m.
