The past week for the Boston Red Sox featured success, signs of life, and hope for the future, followed by a reminder of the dismal season that it has been for the boys from bean town.
The Sox started the week with a two-game sweep at Cincinati, followed by a four-game split at home against the Houston Astros.
In their four victories this week, the Red Sox showed hope for the future, with young talent showing their stuff. However, losses like the 8-1 loss to Houston on Sunday tempered positive thoughts.
