With the NFL season just around the corner, it’s time to throw out some wild predictions about how the teams will shape up and which players will thrive in 2014.
Chowder and Champions comes full circle as the New England Patriots are featured in the AFC East…real shocker there. Each of the teams in this division have upgraded this offseason in areas where they desperately needed some help. Unfortunately for those bottom three clubs, the Pats did the same to reload for another run towards the Super Bowl.
Here are my predictions for the AFC East:
1. New England Patriots (12-4)
2. New York Jets (7-9)
3. Buffalo Bills (7-9)
4. Miami Dolphins (7-9)
New England yet again doesn’t have the toughest road to the playoffs. The Jets, Dolphins, and Bills are all better teams, but realistically, the Pats should go 5-1 against these teams, at worst 4-2. New York will play solid defense, try and get after the quarterback, but are still relying heavily on Geno Smith to take them to the promised land. The Bills defense will be a pleasant surprise all around this season and I think they overtake Miami and finally get out of the cellar.
