With 2014 winding down and 2015 on the horizon we are going to take a look back at the biggest headlines that happened not only in Boston sports, but nation wide. For the each of the next 12 days (sans Christmas) we will take a look at each month and review some of the stories from that month so we can reflect as we get ready for the new year.

After the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup finals wrapped up in June, MLB was able to showcase its biggest stars in July as the All-Star Game took place in Minneapolis and the Hot Stove was heating up just as the Trading Deadline approached. In Cleveland and Miami there was a different kind of Hot Stove action happening, it wasn’t involving the Marlins and Indians, it was between the Heat and Cavaliers and the grand prize was one LeBron James. With all that being said lets not waste another minute as we take a look back at the month that was July 2014.
