New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady admitted that his feelings were hurt by the recent deflate-gate scandal and by the many who have labeled him a cheater. He’s taken it to heart, but is now ready to move forward and set his focus on this Sunday’s Super Bowl tilt with the Seattle Seahawks.

Brady opened up about the topic on Monday morning during his weekly radio appearance on WEEI’s “Dennis & Callahan” show.

“I personalized a lot of things and thought this was all about me and my feelings got hurt, and then I moved past it because it’s not serving me,” said Brady.

With one of the biggest matchups of his career looming, Brady understands that he must devote his full attention to his teammates and the gameplan for Seattle. Deflate-gate isn’t going to vanish into thin air and Brady knows it, but it is a subject that can be put off until after the Super Bowl. That’s exactly what the veteran field general intends on doing.

“I think what’s serving me is to try to prepare for the game ahead, and I’ll deal with whatever happens later. I’ll have my opportunity to try to figure out what happened and figure out a theory like everyone else is trying to do. But this isn’t the time for that, and honestly I’m not interested in trying to find out right now because we have the biggest game of our season ahead,” added Brady.

Remarkably though, Brady’s been able to maintain a level head. He’s kept the magnitude of what awaits him and his teammates in perspective. As he preps for his sixth Super Bowl. The excitement is still running high amid the swirling drama.

“It’s all part of the business and you deal with the ups and the downs, the good and the bad, and I’m excited to play in the Super Bowl for the sixth time. It’s a pretty amazing accomplishment for our team based on where we started,” said Brady.

Brady’s ability to remain calm, cool and collected in the face of adversity has always been what sets him aside from the rest throughout the course of his career. Based on his radio interview, he seems poised to lead his team to a triumphant season finale on Sunday.

“We’ve had a great week in practice. We’re going to go down and try to finish strong,” concluded Brady.
