New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is having one of his best seasons at the age of 39.

It’s time to forget Deflategate or any indication of Tom Brady being a cheater.  With the type of numbers the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback has put up since his return to the New England Patriots, any idea that air pressure in a football mattering has gone out of the window.

Through four games Brady has led his team to a 4-0 record (7-1 overall) and in doing so has put up some awesome QBR numbers.  In fact, he has put up the highest weekly Total QBR three times in the four games he has played.  Set the 90+ QBR aside and you have a quarterback who has elevated the players around him and is doing so at the age of 39.

The scary thing about the Patriots’ offense led by Brady is that they still have some improving to do.  The tight end duo of Rob Gronkowski and Martellus Bennett really haven’t gotten started at the same time.  Julian Edelman has been slowed due to a foot injury and Dion Lewis has yet to even step on the field.

When it all comes together the Patriots’ offense could actually best the great offense of 2007 led by a younger Tom Brady and that man named Randy Moss.  They may not come close to putting up the same type of numbers, but in a way the offense may be more proficient because of how diversified they are.  Not only does Brady have the tight ends, he has the receivers in Edelman, Danny Amendola and Chris Hogan and he has the pass-catching running backs in James White and possibly Lewis.

Give any quarterback those weapons and they would probably succeed, but not the way Brady does.  He has a recognition and understanding of how to get the ball to those players in a way they can make a play after the catch.  He also gets the very best out of those players.  Although there are some (Reggie Wayne and Stephen A. Smith) who believe he can’t be the MVP, Tom Brady is showing why he is the MVP this season on the football field.

Tom Brady delivers six wishes

The New England Patriots quarterback has proven why he is an MVP off the field last Tuesday.  The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island made the wishes of six young Patriots fans come true by inviting them to Gillette Stadium to meet with Tom Brady.

The fans not only got to meet their hero, but they also go to chat with him and received signed autographs.  And like Gronkowski, Bennett, Hogan, Edelman, Amendola and White, they got to catch some passes from the quarterback labeled as the best of all time!
