If the New England Patriots defeat the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI, it will take a great effort.  Which unlikely player will rise up and have the game of their life?

Two years ago, an undrafted rookie out of West Alabama stepped up to make the play of his life.  Two years late, New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler is one of the top cornerbacks in the game.

If it wasn’t for the team’s trust in him and Butler’s readiness for the moment, a fourth Super Bowl victory may have been another heartbreaking defeat.  Oh how fans remember the moment Butler intercepted the ball at the end zone to turn the palpitations of Patriots Nation into a frenzy of victory.

However, if that play wasn’t made and the Seattle Seahawks scored the game-winning touchdown, an unknown wide receiver named Chris Matthews would’ve been in consideration for the game’s MVP.  If was his production that led to Butler getting his chance to play in the first place.

So which unlikely Patriots player will step up to make the play of their life or have the game of their life to help New England hoist a fifth Vince Lombardi Super Bowl trophy?  Here are five players who will have an opportunity.
