On December 18th Celtics General Manager Danny Ainge traded Rajon Rondo and Dwight Powell to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Jae Crowder, Jameer Nelson, Brandan Wright, along with a 2015 first-round draft pick and a 2016 second-round draft pick. It was pretty common knowledge that Rondo would likely move on from the Celtics after his contract expired at the end of this season, and for Danny Ainge his goal was to get something for the 4-time All Star before he fled Boston. For Celtics fans this is bittersweet, it appears that the rebuilding process is now extended with the departure of Rondo, but with the amount of draft picks they now hold they will have plenty of opportunities to draft the future stars for the Green.
