New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski had the time of his life during Tuesday’s Super Bowl parade making a promise to fans.

When asked by fans along the parade route to party, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski did just that.  Chugging beer shirtless on the float is vintage Gronk.  It made fans smile and cheer, but it is what he said on the mic at City Hall that made Patriots Nation smile even wider.

While he wasn’tpart of the historic Super Bowl LI victory physically, Gronkowski told fans that he expects to be part of the team’s sixth championship.  Whether that is next season or anytime beyond that, a promise is a promise.

More from New England Patriots

"“What’s up, Boston?  Want to know something?  When we get six, your boy right here is going to be part of six, baby,” Gronkowski yelled via CSNNE.com.  “This team worked so hard to be where they’re at.  I lose these guys so much.  I know I wasn’t part of playing in the game, but, please, I love being a part of this team, and this is just so amazing.”"

Rob Gronkowski is coming off season-ending back surgery and is expected to be available for the team’s offseason program.  While many have even hinted at a Gronkowski retirement, the Patriots all-time receiving touchdown leader made it clear retirement is not in his future anytime soon.

Julian Edelman lands on cover of SI: Julian Edelman’s amazing catch I the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LI has landed on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

The improbable catch came with the Patriots trailing the Atlanta Falcons by eight points.  On a tipped deep pass across the middle of the field thrown by Tom Brady, Edelman out maneuvered three Falcons defenders to haul in the pass before it hit the ground.

It was a catch that Brady couldn’t believe Edelman made.

"“I don’t know how the hell he caught it,” Brady said following the game via Patriots.com."

After watching it many times, neither could I or any spectator watching the game!

Patriots sign nine players to future contracts:  Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was not lying when he chanted “no days off” at the Super Bowl victory parade.

As reported by NESN on Tuesday, the Patriots have signed nine players to future contracts.  Those players include OL Chris Barker, OL Jamil Douglas, OL Chase Farris, RB Tyler Gaffney, WR Devin Lucien, LB Trevor Bates, DT Darius Kilgo, DT Woodrow Hamilton and TE Rob Housler.

Not on that list is fullback Glenn Gronkowski.  The younger brother of tight end Rob Gronkowski spent most of the season on the Patriots practice squad.  He would be free to sign with another team in the offseason.
