Boston Bruins: Ryan Donato continues to dazzle at Olympics

Harvard center and Boston Bruins prospect Ryan Donato continues to show off his skills in South Korea.
The 2018 Winter Olympics don’t feature the usual talent that Olympic hockey fans have grown to love. Especially in the United States. These Olympics we have seen college players get a chance to play with the big boys and represent their country. One player that has taken advantage is Boston Bruins prospect Ryan Donato. Man oh man is this guy going to be a great NHL player.
In 4 games so far this Olympics, Donato has scored 4 goals. In his latest matchup against Slovakia he tallied two goals for the red white and blue. His first goal was the result of a nice bounce off the boards, and Donato was able to put it past Slovakian goaltender Jan Laco. It helped that Laco was without a stick.
Donato’s second goal of the night was another impressive goal. Donato wristed a beauty past Laco putting the final nail in the coffin. Donato now has the same amount of goals as his dad Ted did in his Olympic career.

Down but not out
Ryan Donato has proven to Boston and the world that he should not be taken lightly. He has shown that he is a scoring threat but also showed some heart. He took a vicious elbow from Slovakian defenseman Michal Cajkovsky.
Cajousky ended up with a match penalty and was thrown out of the game. Donato went down and was bloody, but he came back and scored the final goal of the game. The NBC cameras even caught him saying “I’m okay,” to someone on the bench.
Even though there may not be the “best” players, the Winter Olympics are one of the biggest stages in hockey. Donato has proven to the world that he shows up when the bright lights are on him.

With his play in the Olympics and at Harvard I would expect ryan Donato to be in the NHL before the end of the regular season.
