The Boston Red Sox have found out who they will be squaring off against in the 2018 World Series. The Los Angeles Dodgers definitely have some players that you will be rooting against.

The Boston Red Sox have made it back to the World Series! After defeating the Houston Astros in the ALCS the Red Sox had time to celebrate as they waited to figure out who would be their opponent. On Saturday night they got an answer.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are the only thing standing in the way of Boston winning it’s 9th World Series. LA defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 5-1 on Saturday night to advance to the Fall Classic.

The people at the MLB’s offices must be ecstatic. Two powerful and historic teams are meeting in the World Series. The Red Sox and Dodgers are definitely two of the most popular teams in the league.

Now even though the MLB will be ecstatic, there is some reason to be angry. The Dodgers definitely have some players that will make Red Sox nation angry. Whether it be because of dirty play, pimping home runs, or just being a great pitcher.

I wouldn’t be surprised to hear about a few TV’s being broken or some thundering boo’s when LA comes to Fenway Park. The Red Sox are definitely the favorites, as they dominated the regular season, but this World Series will be an interesting watch.

So here are the 3 Dodgers you are going to love to hate.

1. Manny Machado

I don’t know if you guys know this but Manny Machado is kind of a dirty player. If you didn’t hate him before this series you will probably dislike him by the end of it.

More from Boston Red Sox

Red Sox fans started to despise Machado in the 2017 season when a questionable slide at 2nd base injured 2nd baseman, Dustin Pedroia.

After that, the two teams went back and forth for multiple games with multiple players being thrown at. Machado was thrown at in a game and he went off on the Red Sox entire organization and said he has no respect for them.

If that doesn’t make your blood boil enough, Machado is back to his antics this postseason. In the NLCS Machado hit a routine ground ball and instead of running through the base like a normal human being he clipped Jesus Aguilar and caused the benches to clear.

Machado is bound to do something to anger Red Sox fans. It’s not a matter of if, but when this will occur. Hopefully, the Red Sox will be able to keep there cool.

2. Yasiel Puig

If you think that players should jog around the bases showing no emotion after hitting a home run you probably hate Yasiel Puig. The LA outfielder is one of the most flamboyant and expressive players in the entire MLB. The man has done bat flips for pop flies!

Now I’m perfectly fine with players showing emotion. The game needs it. If you hit a home run in the postseason you deserve to flip the bat and give a fist pump, but if Puig is strolling around Fenway Park like Kirk Gibson, fans won’t be pleased.

Puig is having a pretty solid postseason for the Dodgers. He has a batting average over .300 and has a home run and 4 RBIs.

Hopefully, the Red Sox pitching staff won’t give him a chance to celebrate. In the NLCS, Puig struck out 6 times. You can’t do a bat flip if you’re headed back to the bench.

I wouldn’t put Puig on the level of Machado, but if he goes crazy after a home run he will shoot up Red Sox fan’s most hated player’s list.

3. Clayton Kershaw

Now how could you hate a guy like Clayton Kershaw one might ask. He seems like a stand-up guy and is a dominant pitcher so what is there to dislike?

Kershaw is too good. That’s what makes you hate him. The Red Sox’s better be ready for a fired up Kershaw. He hasn’t had the greatest success in the playoffs and is looking to get that World Series monkey off his back.

Then Kershaw pulled this stunt on Sunday night.

Oh, I bet Kershaw had no idea the cameras were there. Probably was distraught when he saw the footage get out. This is on the same level of LeBron James taking shootaround early, but there are a million cameras there.

So even though I like the Boston Red Sox’s chances of bringing another championship back to Boston I hope they demolish the LA Dodgers and make a statement. Hopefully, these 3 players will see what true winners look like.
