The Boston Bruins are getting scoring from one spot on the roster. It seems like the Bruins could use a new goalscoring threat to spark the B’s offense.

It is always good to score goals no matter where on the Boston Bruins roster they come from. It’s not like you get more points on the board for scoring from the 4th line. Still, the Bruins have a problem.

The B’s are scoring goals and winning games, but they are getting all their goals from one line. Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, and David Pastrnak seem to be the only players that are lighting the lamp this season.

The Bruins first line makes up over 50 percent of the team’s points. That is nice for their stats, but not for the Bruins as a team.

It’s not like this is the first week of the season. The B’s have played almost 15 games this season. This isn’t a rare occasion, it is a trend and a habit.

Now the Boston Bruins have a ton of assets. The Bruins minor league system is looking nice so they have trade pieces to entice teams. So I think it is time for the Bruins to make a move.

Now there are some players that have already been linked to the B’s and some who would be a nice fit since their current teams are playing awful.

So here are 3 trade targets that could get rid of the Boston Bruins scoring issues.

1. Artemi Panarin

Artemi Panarin has been a player that has been linked to the Boston Bruins the entire offseason. Panarin is in the last season of his contract and the Bruins could use his services.

Panarin is great in the opponent’s zone. He is the leading scorer on the Colombus Blue Jackets with 5 goals and 10 assists. He would be perfect in Boston.

David Krejci would finally have the great winger that he needs. No offense to Jake DeBrusk, but Panarin is on a whole other level. He is coming off the best season of his career scoring 27 goals and 55 assists.

Panarin would make Krejci a better player and probably give him more opportunities to put the puck in the net. Panarin is a great stickhandler and should open up the ice for Krejci.

The Bruins may be able to get Panarin at a discount since he isn’t guaranteed to stay with the B’s. Still, the B’s would probably have to give up a prospect and a draft pick or more likely a current NHL player like Jake Debrusk or Danton Heinen as well as a draft pick.

As much as I would hate giving up DeBrusk, Panarin is a great player.

2. Wayne Simmonds

Wayne Simmonds seems like a perfect fit for the Boston Bruins. He is a hard-hitting forward who still has a great ability to put the puck in the net.

Simmonds would be a great addition to the Bruins 2nd line because he would be a big body who could help the B’s maintain possession in the opponent’s zone and also be an enforcer. If you can gain large amounts of zone time you are bound to score goals.

The “Wayne Train” is one of the Flyers top scorers with 7 goals and 2 assists. His possible future linemate David Krejci is just one point ahead of Simmonds.

I don’t think the Bruins would have to give up a ton for Simmonds. I think they could get away with just giving away a prospect and a decent draft pick. If the Flyers really want a current NHL player I would only want to give up a guy like Danton Heinen or David Backes.

Maybe we will see the “Wayne Train” at North Station soon enough.

3. Chris Kreider

There haven’t been any rumors about Chris Kreider coming to Boston, but he is someone the Bruins should look at.

The New York Rangers are having a pretty awful season. They are at the bottom of the Metropolitan division. Maybe New York will become sellers. We have seen them make deals with the Bruins before.

If they are, I think Kreider could be on the table. Kreider only has one year left on his contract and isn’t getting any younger.

Still, the 27-year-old wouldn’t be a bad pickup. He is a quality scorer that could be a nice addition to the 2nd or 3rd line. I think that David Krejci would benefit from having a guy like Kreider on the roster.

Now, this would probably cost the Bruins a decent amount. I would expect Jake DeBrusk to be on the table.

So it will be interesting to see if the Boston Bruins make a move for an offensive threat. They could definitely use a spark to electrify the team.
