There are definitely some matchups that will show just how good this Celtics team will be. Also we now know when some reunions will be happening in Boston.
January will be a tough month for the C’s. They have a ton of back to back matchups and face some tough opponents. In the month they face the Philadelphia 76ers, the Milwaukee Bucks, the LA Lakers, and the Golden State Warriors.
The NBA is also tweaking their schedule slightly and making sure that fans are actually able to get a good nights rest. A good chunk of primetime games have been moved to 7:30 PM and some late-night games have been moved to 9:30 PM
This will definitely be an interesting season for the Boston Celtics. Will they find their groove or will they disappoint once again?
If the Celtics want to succeed they are going to have to win these games. So break out your calender’s as we see the 7 games that Boston Celtics fans have to watch.

October 30th Boston Celtics vs Milwaukee Bucks
The Boston Celtics will face a major test early on in the season. They will face arguably the best team in the Eastern Conference just 4 games into the season.

At the end of October the Milwaukee Bucks travel to Boston to face the C’s. There will be one familiar face that will not be playing though.
Malcolm Brogdon was a Celtics killer. He seemed to have his best games against the Boston Celtics. Against the C’s he has averaged 13.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game.
But now Brogden is on the Pacers so the Bucks got a little weaker. Still they have Giannis Antetokounmpo who is one of the best players in the NBA today.
The Celtics know that if they want to win the East they will most likely have to go through the Bucks. If they can play well against Milwaukee it would give fans hope that the C’s are capable of making a deep playoff run.

November 7th Boston Celtics at Charlotte Hornets
The Charlotte Hornets are a struggling organization who has never gotten over the hump in recent years. Even during the bad times, Kemba Walker remained loyal.
When Walker became a free agent he was set free by the organization and now has a chance to play for a winning franchise. Walker won’t have to wait long to face his former team.
Kemba will get a heroes welcome when he returns to the Hornets. He never disrespected the organization and was a great leader in the locker room (imagine a star point guard doing that?).
Hopefully, we will see Walker go off against his former team. It is highly likely that the Celtics walk away with the win. The Hornets are in the midst of a full rebuild. They won’t be doing anything special in the near future.

It will definitely be an emotional night when Kemba Walker returns to the organization that helped him grow into a star.

Nov 20th Boston Celtics at Los Angeles Clippers
One of the teams that made the biggest splash in the NBA offseason was the LA Clippers. The little brother to the LA Lakers got some major star power.
The franchise was able to snag both Paul George and NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard. That is a pretty successful offseason. Also, Pat Beverley took a hometown discount to stay with the team.
That means that the Clippers have two of the best scorers in the league today as well as one of the best defenders in the entire NBA. That is a recipe for success in the NBA.
Now the Celtics have Marcus Smart, but it will be interesting to see how the team deals with Leonard and George. Boston’s defensive skills will definitely be tested.
A win against the Clippers would prove that the Boston Celtics shouldn’t be taken lightly and that the future is mighty bright in Boston.

Nov 27th: Boston Celtics vs Brooklyn Nets
The return of Kyrie Irving might be one of the moments that lives in Boston Celtics history for eternity. I personally can not wait to see Irving get booed into oblivion.
There is no doubt that there are some sour grapes between Boston and Irving. The point guard couldn’t have been worst in Boston.
Irving didn’t fit on the team or in the city. He was a terrible leader who never took any of the blame and he couldn’t handle the Boston sports media. I don’t know why he thinks New York would be any easier.
I really hope that the Celtics just dominate the Nets. It would probably be the most satisfying win of the season. If Kyrie Irving plays poorly and Kemba Walker goes off it would be even better.
So hopefully we will see the Boston Celtics play some great basketball and destroy the Brooklyn Nets and Kyrie Irving. If karma exists that will most likely be the case.

December 12th: Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76ers
This is a return that will probably be much more positive. On December 12th, Al Horford comes back to Boston.
This go around Horford will be the enemy. It still angers me that he ended up on the 76ers. The only way things could have gotten worse was to join the Lakers.
The matchup between Philadelphia will also be a good measuring stick game for the Celtics. The 76ers will be one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. A win would prove that the Celtics shouldn’t be taken lightly.
It will also be interesting to see how Philly uses Al Horford. With him working alongside Joel Embiid he could see an uptick in scoring. All the focus will be on Embiid so Horford should get some favorable matchups.
Whenever the 76ers come to town you know it is going to be a good game. The addition of Al Horford just makes the rivalry even more interesting.

Jan 20th: Boston Celtics vs Los Angeles Lakers
The rivalry between the LA Lakers has simmered down a bit, but it appears that the rivalry is back on. This offseason has definitely made things more interesting.
Celtics fans hate LeBron James. They have ever since he was in Cleveland. Now that Anthony Davis decided to join the Lakers over Boston that is just another reason to be angry.
Once again this will be a good measuring stick game for the C’s. The Lakers have a lot of talent in the frontcourt. It will be interesting to see how well Boston will be able to contain the deadly duo.
The Western Conference is also packed with talent. LA will probably be one of the top teams so it would be nice to see Boston leave the city of angels with a win.
The LA Lakers and the Boston Celtics are the fiercest rivals in all of sports and that won’t change this year.

Feb 29th Boston Celtics vs Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets still have the great scoring ability of James Harden, but they also made some serious upgrades. Now Russell Westbrook is in Houston.
This is quite the upgrade from Chris Paul. Westbrook is in the prime of his career and it appears he will average a triple-double for the rest of his career.
We have seen the Celtics be victorious over the Rockets before but it will be interesting to see how they handle the one-two punch of Harden and Westbrook.
So as you can see the Boston Celtics will have a lot of interesting games this NBA season. You will definitely want to find a way to get in front of a TV screen (or even in the building) for the games listed above.
No matter what game it is this Boston Celtics season is bound to be interesting. After last season’s debacle fans are just looking to enjoy watching the team again.
