Tom Brady had the entire world watching as he participated in The Match and New England Patriots fans definitely learned a lot about the former QB.

We haven’t had a lot of sports so Sunday was a treat. We got to see some legends tee it up and hit it hard. One of the participants was former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised by the event. It was captivating for many reasons that we will get into. Patriots fans definitely left happy.

One of these reasons is that like a lot of New England Patriots fans I miss Tom Brady. I’m not ashamed to admit it. Seeing him out there having fun just makes you wish that he was still in New England.

Brady and Phil Mickelson ended up losing the match but it was still a blast and we saw Brady make some amazing shots. This was one of the few times that Peyton Manning got the best of Brady.

We have seen a new version of Brady since he has left New England. It seems that Brady is letting loose a little bit. He isn’t afraid to throw some jabs an opponent’s way. We saw that even more on Sunday.

But we were also reminded of some great moments in New England Patriots history. So let’s take a look at some of the things we learned on Sunday during The Match.

Tom Brady is all of us golfing

When it comes to golfing, Brady is far from being the greatest of all time. That status doesn’t get automatically transferred to whatever sport Brady is playing.

More from New England Patriots

Just like a lot of us Brady struggles on the course. Sometimes he can’t find the fairway (or his ball at all). When he is chipping close to the green sometimes he duffs a shot.

This was the most relatable we have ever seen Brady. Just like us he isn’t an amazing golfer. One hole he can look great and the next he can look horrible. Brady’s performance brought him down to Earth.

Now I have to be fair to Brady, he did have one amazing shot where he holed out from around 150 yards. That was the type of performance we are used to seeing from Brady.

Also like us it seems like Brady might have put on a few pounds since quarantine. As he picked up the ball on the same hole we saw that Brady’s pants had ripped. Tom Brady and SpongeBob Squarepants, one and the same.

All in all this event made Brady much more likable. For once the quarterback seemed like a regular guy. That will change once Brady hits the field in 2020.

Tom Brady still regrets the Patriots Super Bowl loss to the Eagles

There was a lot of playful jabs throughout the event. A joke from Charles Barkley may have even motivated Brady to hole out.

But one thing was clear, Brady didn’t enjoy jokes about the Philadelphia Eagles.

It started before the match began. When Peyton was asked who he might have caddied for him he mentioned the possibility of having Nick Foles. That one hurt Tom.

Even in a moment where people are talking about Tom’s success he makes a point to mention Philly. Justin Thomas told Brady that Tiger and Peyton aren’t the Atlanta Falcons. Brady went out of his way to talk about how the Eagles still make him cringe.

Brady could have just kept it moving and have a laugh, but you can genuinely see that he is still upset over the loss. That is just the type of player Brady is. He will never be satisfied or contempt. He is always determined to get better.

Brady does have every reason to be upset. He had one of the greatest performances in Super Bowl history. He threw for over 500 yards. Brady didn’t lose the Super Bowl, the defense did.

So it looks like the Super Bowl loss to the Eagles will stay with Brady for the rest of his career.
