Early look at New England Patriots 2015 Draft Board

I share one thing in common with Patriots Bill Belichick, after all the games have been played our next favorite part of the year is the NFL Draft.

Last years draft was deep and full of upper echelon talent, along with plenty of players that would’ve gone fairly high in this year’s draft if they had waited a year. In a nutshell I’m less than in love with this year’s draft stock but with that said there is still plenty of good talent to be had.

Finding the best talent available is something every team in the league works very hard to accomplish, the Patriots are no exception. As much of a wizard Bill is as a coach he still strives to be the best draft king in the league. He treats the draft as if it were a Chess match, with one move leading to another move that we just don’t see coming.

Sometimes he hits (Tom Brady, Vince Wilfork, Rob Gronkowski…) and sometimes he misses by a mile (Terrence Wheatley, Taylor Price, Shawn Crable…).

And Bill isn’t afraid to move up, down, in or out of any round while also trying to accumulate extra or future year’s picks treating them like real estate.

Every year I read hundreds of Mock drafts and I find one thing to be true, they aren’t worth the paper they’re written on 95% of the time. Let’s face it, it is impossible to know who Bill will pick for each round, so why bother?

With that said I won’t offer you yet another Mock Draft but instead I will give you a list of players of which I would hope some of them would be on Bill’s Big Board ( I had 3 chosen players correct last year).

This list will take into account player values (from multiple sites) and needs of the team, But it wont include players I don’t believe they will focus on, IE Wide Receivers, Running Backs or Special teams. The Best talent/ high round pick starts at the top and works its way down to the final round choices.
