9. Jaheim Bell

Jaheim Bell was selected in the seventh round by New England in the 2024 NFL Draft, so expectations were relatively tempered for his rookie season. Drafted out of Florida State, Bell was projected as a position-less prospect teetering between a wide receiver and tight end – so a learning curve as he adapted to professional football was expected.

Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper have dominated the share of snaps at tight end, and rightfully so as the pair rank first and fourth in both receptions and receiving yards, respectively. Bell has only played 16 offensive snaps this season and has yet to record a target – let alone a reception.

If there is any optimism for Bell, it is that his highest offensive snap count came in New England's most recent game in Week 8. Perhaps that signals an increased workload going forward. Even so, it looks like it will be an uphill battle for Bell to crack the Patriots final roster in 2025.
