10 Patriots Playing Their Way Out of New England's 2025 Plans

4. K.J. Osborn
After spending the first four seasons of his career with the Minnesota Vikings, Osborn joined the Patriots this offseason on a one-year, $4 million deal.
Osborn also made headlines by posting a screenshot on his Instagram story following New England's Week 7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
In the aftermath of that incident, Osborn was asked last week if he wanted to be traded and stopped very short of saying "no":
"It's like an alley oop,' Osborn laughed. 'This is where I am. This is the place I signed to be. A lot of things are out of my control, but I would like to be where my feet are. So today I'm here, so now I'll rock with it as it goes.'"

In his first season with New England, the 27-year-old has seven catches for 57 yards and a touchdown.
Mike Giardi of the Boston Sports Journal reported that "League sources expect [the Patriots] to peel off another vet or two before the Nov. 5 deadline". Since he is on a one-year deal, Osborn could be a trade target for a playoff team looking to add receiving depth at the NFL trade deadline as one of the veterans mentioned.
