Round 6, Pick 182 - Andres Borregales, K, Miami
Top remaining player: Devin Neal, RB, Kansas
Since 2020, the New England Patriots have drafted three kickers: Justin Rohrwasser in 2020, Chad Ryland in 2023, and now Andres Borregales in 2025. Borregales was the first kicker off the board in this year's draft and for good reason. The former four-year Hurricane set the school's record with 405 career points last season and made first team All-ACC the last two seasons.
If the Pats wanted to get another skill position player for Drake Maye, one of the best players remaining was running back Devin Neal. The former Kansas Jayhawk played an important role for the team. In all four seasons, Neal led the team in rushing yards and went on to set the school record of 4,343 rushing yards.
Like Jordan James, Neal would have been a nice complement to Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson. But Borregales represents a long-term solution at kicker for a team that prioritizes special teams.
Round 7, Pick 220 - Marcus Bryant, OT, Missouri
Top remaining player: Jonah Monheim, C, USC
With their first of three seventh-round picks, the Patriots selected left tackle Marcus Bryant from Missouri. After spending four seasons at SMU, Bryant transferred to Missouri, where he played alongside fellow prospect Armand Membou. In his last season at SMU (2023), Bryant was named All-AAC. His size (6'7’’, 320 lbs) and experience make him an intriguing developmental prospect for the Pats.
One of the best players who were still on the board at this point in the draft was former USC Center Jonah Monheim. During his time at USC, he proved his versatility, making honorable mention All-PAC-12 as a right tackle as a junior and at left tackle as a senior. This past season, he made third-team All-Big Ten as a center.
