3. Troy Bell – 2003, 1st Round, 16th Pick
While he never played for the Celtics, and was ultimately a key piece in the trade that brought Kendrick Perkins to Boston, Bell is considered a bust for his NBA career, and for the guys selected after him for a C’s squad that needed as much help as it could get. It was another great example of a draft choice wasted with so much talent left on the board. He also brought Marcus Banks to Boston, which was the guard he was swapped for the in deal, so by the transient law, the Marcus Banks-bust falls onto him as well.
