One of the main reasons for the Red Sox three World Series Championships in the past decade has been the clubhouse chemistry, and the “characters with a lot of character” that made up the Boston clubhouse.

Players like Pedro Martinez, Kevin Millar, David Ortiz, Jonny Gomes, and others have not only contributed on the field, but have been key cogs in keeping the clubhouse light and positive, something that has been a main Red Sox key to success.

During the 2012/2013 offseason, acquisitions such as the ones of Gomes, catcher David Ross, and outfielder Shane Victorino were questioned by the baseball world, but the one thing these players had in common was their presence in the clubhouse, and their unrelenting effort, hustle, and determination on the field.

Fill a team with players who display those traits on the field and in the clubhouse, and Red Sox nation will rally behind them with their undying support, in turn making the Red Sox a better on-field product.
