Q: After beginning the 2013 season 9-0, the Chiefs have won just three games since then. What has gone wrong and what must they do to return to that level?

A: The 9-0 start was awesome and something that this city and franchise desperately needed. The biggest difference between them now compared to then is their issues on defense. During the 9 game win streak, the Chiefs got after the quarterback to the tune of 36 sacks and forced a tremendous amount of turnovers. After Houston and Hali both suffered injuries in week 12 of last season, the pass rush became in-effective and teams started to expose our man-to-man scheme. It didn’t help that we had to face Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers, and Andrew Luck twice each down that stretch. So to answer your question, we’ve played better competition and dealt with major injuries.
