Q: If Jamal Charles is unable to play Monday night, does Alex Smith have enough offensive weapons around him to successfully move the football on a Patriots defense that is playing well and forcing turnovers?
A: I think so, especially with the emergence of second year back, Knile Davis. Davis had a career day against Miami last week with 32 carries for 132 yards rushing and a TD. He was also strong against Denver the previous week and has helped take pressure off of Alex Smith. Also the tight ends for this offense are strong. Anthony Fasano is ol’ reliable while young buck, Travis Kelce, is really starting to break out. Kelce is the Chiefs leading receiver and flashed his ability to move in space last week with his 20 yard touchdown catch and run. Smith isn’t going to light you up for 400 yards passing but, if the Chiefs can get in the red zone I believe they have enough to get it done.
