QB. FSU. Jameis Winston. 6. player. 30.
If Winston falls to this pick, I expect the Jets to jump at the chance to get the FSU signal caller. The Jets are under a new regime with a new head coach and general manager and have no ties to current QB Geno Smith and he could be easily replaced. Winston has tons of potential to become a dominant QB in this league, however, the off the field issues still negatively affect him. Similar to Geno Smith, Winston needs to work on his poor decision-making in certain situations. Winston was second in the NCAA this season with 18 interceptions and that issue needs to be corrected to be successful at the next level. Winston has a solid arm and can scramble when needed and also is a clutch performer. This would be a very solid pick for a Jets team that looks to challenge the Patriots for the division.
