What can be said about Miguel Cabrera that hasn’t already been said? The guy is a beast at the plate, hitting at least 40 home runs in 2 out of the past 3 seasons as well as hitting over 100 RBIs in eleven out of twelve Major League seasons. For the Tigers offense, it begins and ends with Miguel Cabrera and his bat. If the Tigers are to be any real threat this season Miguel Cabrera needs to produce like he has in the past.

Although the Tigers have other quality players in their lineup like Victor Martinez and Yoenis Cespedes, make no mistake if Cabrera goes down with an injury or slump expect the Tigers to follow suit. With one of the best pitching staffs in baseball, the Tigers are lined up to be legitimate contenders in the American League this season and a large reason for that is because of one Miguel Cabrera.
