Evan Longoria has been the cornerstone for the Tampa Bay Rays since breaking into the bigs in 2008 and now in 2015 he serves as the veteran inside that clubhouse. Last season Longoria played in all 162 games, an impressive feet for an everyday third basemen. He hit .253 with 22 home runs and 91 RBI’s.

This may be Longoria’s most trying season as a Ray especially with Joe Maddon gone as well as most of the star players that were featured on the 2008 team. Longoria will need to step up as a leader and show some of the newer players how to handle the every day task of being a Major Leaguer.
