After 7 years in Boston Milan Lucic was finally shown the door this off season and while he was getting some backlash towards the last year, his contributions to the Bruins will be remembered. As one leaves, another steps in though and that is where Jimmy Hayes comes in and looks to pick up some of that attitude and game play that Lucic featured.
“The Pride of Dorchester” had 19 goals for the Florida Panthers last season with 16 assists and 35 points, compared to Lucic’s 2015 stats of 18 goals, 26 assists and 44 points. Stats wise it looks like Hayes fits right in role that Lucic served in 2015, and even though Hayes plays on the right wing (not left wing like Lucic) he will make a huge impact with whatever line he plays on.
