With the disappointing news on Monday that New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis tore his ACL, ending his breakout season, there were (and still are) many in New England that are panicking at the loss of the dynamic running back.

While it may not be all doom and gloom for the crew up in Foxborough, the injury does set the Patriots back for sure. We’ll see if guys like Brandon Bolden or James White can step in Lewis’ place, we’ve seen it done time and time again so there is no reason to think this will be any different.

Obviously, Lewis’ injury is tough, but he is not the first Patriots’ player to go down with a season ending injury, nor will he be the last. Here are the five worst season ending injuries for the New England Patriots.
