Bradley on the Bench

Maybe Avery Bradley has found his new role as Boston’s sixth man. Bradley put together another impressive performance in his third straight game coming off the bench. He was the catalyst of Boston’s early surge, scoring 12 points and making two 3-pointers in the first quarter alone.

Even with Isaiah Thomas in the starting lineup, Boston’s bench has found ways to score and Bradley has been one of the main reasons why.

In his three games coming off the bench, AB is averaging 17.7 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals per contest. He is also shooting 48.8% from the field and 50% from behind the arc in this new role. Despite his success, head coach Brad Stevens was noncommittal about Bradley’s future in Boston’s rotation.

Bradley is the type of player who will accept whatever role is best for his team. Regardless of whether he starts or comes off the bench, AB is will continue to be a spark plug for the Celtics and make plays like this:
