As the New England Patriots prepare to take on the Cleveland Browns Sunday, head coach Bill Belichick is weary of opposing cornerback Joe Haden.

Now that Tom Brady has been officially activated to the 53-man roster, New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has a quarterback he trusts throwing the football.  But that doesn’t mean Belichick isn’t weary about one of the most dangerous cornerbacks in the league.

In Belichick’s Breakdown posted on Patriots.com, the coach highlights a terrific play and interception made by Browns corner Joe Haden against the Baltimore Ravens.  Belichick stresses how Brady and the offense has to be careful with the ball around a Pro-Bowl caliber player like Haden.

Haden, who was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2013 and 2014, is playing at a high level once again.  He has allowed just nine receptions on 17 targets for 123 yards and two scores.  He has picked off opposing quarterbacks two times and presents a challenge for Brady.  Whoever he covers will definitely have to work to get open.

Roster movesAccording to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, the Patriots have promoted rookie defensive tackle Woodrow Hamilton from their practice squad Saturday.  The move adds some depth along the defensive line with rookie defensive tackle Vincent Valentine now ruled out in Sunday’s game against the Browns.

At 6-foot-3, 315 pounds, the undrafted rookie has progressed nicely and worked his way onto the the 53-man roster.  With Belichick, hard work always pays off.

"“He’s working hard.  He’s a big, strong, physical player,” Belichick said on Friday."

Hamilton’s promotion corresponded with the release of Jonathan Cooper.  The 26-year-old guard was acquired in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals for defensive end Chandler Jones.  A former high first-round pick, Cooper never got an opportunity to play or the Patriots.

D.J. Foster:  With LeGarrette Blount nursing a hip injury and Brandon Bolden out for awhile with a knee issue, undrafted rookie running back D.J. Foster may get some extended playing time.

If his number is called, Foster is ready to step up and contribute.  Although he hasn’t figure much into the game plan so far, he says he has remained prepared for when his number is called.

"“It’s really the same, and that’s what has helped me in past weeks,” Foster said. “Go out there and prepare like I am going out there and starting, like I am the first-string running back, so if something happens and I am involved, my mind is right and I’m in the right place. So I prepare like I’m the starter every week and whatever happens, happens. Just go out there and play hard.”"
