2. Traded a 2009 1st round pick and 2010 6th round pick for a 2009 2nd round pick, 3rd round pick, 7th round pick, and a 2010 2nd round pick.

This one is complicated, with four trades involved in total. The Patriots traded down from 23 to 26, and nabbing Baltimore’s 162nd pick. The 26th and 162nd pick were then trade to Green Bay for the 41st, 73rd and 83rd picks.

The Jacksonville Jaguars then offered Belichick the 232nd pick and a 2010 2nd round pick for 2009’s 73rd. New England kept that 232nd pick and selected a QB who has thrown just 1 NFL pass. It was for a touchdown though, as Julian Edelman was the pick.

The 2nd round pick came in at 44th, and the Patriots picked their top non-Brady offensive weapon, TE Rob Gronkowski.
