Boston Bruins Charlie McAvoy Helps Lead Team USA To Gold Medal Over Canada

USA Wins Gold At IIHF World Junior Championship
Boston Bruins Charlie McAvoy was absolutely phenomenal in last nights victory over Canada.
He scored USA first goals of the game to bring them within one of Canada early in the second period. Other Bruins Prospect Ryan Lindgren was out last night. Lindgren Played 7 games and finished the tournament with 1 assist, and a plus 4.
McAvoy also assisted on the goal the once again brought team USA back to within one goal after Canada scored two unanswered goals. The goal came mid third period. McAvoy was named as player of the game.
"“This is one of the most resilient groups I’ve ever been a part of,” U.S. defenseman Charlie McAvoy (Boston Bruins) said. “We got down and there was no panic. There wasn’t any point in this game where we thought losing was an option"
McAvoy finished the tournament with a Gold Medal, 2 goals, and 4 assists through 7 games. He was a plus 6.
"When asked how this United States team should be remembered, McAvoy said: “World Champions. I mean, we’ll be brothers, we’ll be family forever. I mean, this win is unbelievable and there aren’t really words right now, but we’ll lean on each other for the rest of our lives. We’re world champions.”"
Jeremy Lauzon was playing for team Canada and he also had a goal. Lauzon finished the Tournament with the Silver Medal, 2 goals, 1 assist trough 7 games.
