The Boston Celtics looked like a real #1 seed tonight as they took down the Chicago Bulls on the road to bring the series to 2-1.

After lacking motivation and effort in Game 1 and Game 2, Isaiah Thomas and the Boston Celtics desperately needed a win heading into Game 3 with the Chicago Bulls. They earned it, and now they’re right back in this series.

Al Horford, Avery Bradley, and IT4 all shined tonight for the green as they took down a Bulls team without their starting PG Rajon Rondo.

Horford Line: 18 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, 1 block

Bradley Line: 15 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals

Thomas Line: 16 points, 9 assists, 1 steal

Boston cannot go out in the first round, but it looked like they would until their dominating 104-87 win. The Celtics came out in the third quarter and took over. They outscored Chicago 32-22 in the quarter and 28-24 in the fourth.

Now, the Boston Celtics actually have a chance.

The Celtics path to victory? The 3-ball. Boston hit 17 long balls en route to their route of Chicago.

Help In New Places

Boston shuffled the starting lineup, swapping out Gerald Green for Amir Johnson.

"Celtics coach Brad Stevens said it was because of Green’s “Shooting, length, and athleticism.”"

Green played 20 minutes tonight, putting up 8 points. Johnso came off the bench for just 5 minutes of action in Game 3.

The play of the night may have been this monster dunk off the bench from Terry Rozier in transition!

According to Avery Bradley, the Celtics got some extra motivation from a Kevin Garnett video that Isaiah Thomas played in the locker room before the game. Apparently, KG is still helping the Celtics out, even years after he left the franchise. Anything is possible! right?

Game 4 will be played Sunday night in Chicago, and the now necessary Game 5 will be back in Boston on Wednesday.

Boston will look to take Game 4 in Chicago to reclaim home court advantage, though they hopefully won’t need it if they can take down the Bulls by Game 6.
