In a very early baseball season, Chris Sale has started the season that most pitcher’s dream of. Sale is ranked 6th in ERA, tied for 2nd in WHIP, and 1st in Strikeouts in the AL. In only 51 innings pitched, Sale has struck out 73 batters while only walking 11.

The pitching matchup isn’t one for the ages. Snell is young and still finding his rhythm in the majors, starting 0-3 and only striking out 29 batters compared to walking 22. Snell has faced Boston once before this season, allowed only 1 earned run in 5 innings pitched, though the Red Sox won the game 4-3.

Prediction: Win

Chris Sale continues to dominate, while Snell continues to struggle. This may be the most lopsided game of the three, but anything can happen in baseball. I believe Sale will continue his strikeout dominance with another 10+ strikeout outing, which would be his 7th consecutive start with 10+ strikeouts.
