Oakland got out to a quick start against the Patriots with a 14-0 lead after the first quarter. Ken Stabler tossed a 13-yard pass to Dave Casper and Art Whittington ran one in. Luckily, had some heart, and grit, and they stormed back with three unanswered scores.

Horace Ivory and Sam Cunningham both marched into the end zone to give the Patriots the win. Overall, this was a very sloppy game.
