New England Patriots: 5 observations from win over Raiders

Altitude Assistance
There’s a player on the Patriots who dominates his position. He comes up big when the team needs him, and he’s been doing it for years. His last name starts with the letter G and ends with “kowski”. Know who I’m referring to?
That’s right! Stephen Gostkowski! The Polish place kicker is as good as it gets. Tonight, he was 4/4 on field goal attempts and added 3/3 extra points.
Oh, and one of his field goals was from 62 yards. By the way, it would have been good from 75.
Gostkowski used the altitude to his advantage. The thin air gave no resistance on the ball, so it traveled. And boy did it travel.
The only thing I’m disappointed in is that he didn’t hit a 70 yarder. I honestly believe he could have pulled it off. Imagine SG3 lining up at the Patriots 40 yard line and nailing one through the uprights? It sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it.
Gostkowski is just another one of those guys who is as reliable as the day is long. He’s been doing it forever and will keep going until the Earth stops spinning.
