Trouble with the RB

If you can, I want you to read these next few paragraphs in the voice of Stephen A. Smith.

First things first, I want to start by saying this. I do not want to take anything away from Kenyan Drake. He is a playmaker, he is explosive, and he put on a show on Monday. He deserves praise for the game he played.

But when the New England Patriots cannot contain an outside run, anyone can and will expose them. When you don’t break through the line. When you don’t contain the edge. When you put Elandon Roberts on Kenyan Drake. The opposing team will eviscerate you. That’s what this comes down to.

And I must say this. There is no better coach in the National Football League than Bill Belichick, and he failed to make an adjustment. Kenyan Drake did his thing all night. Because of him, the Patriots defense was annihilated. Obliterated. Liquidated. At no point did they stand a chance.

Alright, back to a normal voice. I hope you enjoyed that exercise. Did I get the tone right?

What worries me is not Monday night’s performance. What worries me is the upcoming matchup. If the Patriots approach Leveon Bell like they approached Drake, they won’t like what happens.

Like Stephen A. said though, there is no better coach in the NFL than Bill Belichick. He and his staff will be working tirelessly to figure out a plan for the Steelers running back.

I’m not worried, are you?
