New England Patriots
ATLANTA, GA – DECEMBER 02: Davin Bellamy /

7. LB Davin Bellamy, Georgia

A projected 4th to 6th round pick, Davin Bellamy seems like the perfect New England Patriots player as a tweener. At 6’5″ 240lbs he’s not quite big enough to be a full-time defensive end, but he’s also not a full-time linebacker. In 41 games so far at Georgia, Bellamy has recorded 132 tackles, 11.5 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, and 5 passes defended. He is the perfect project player for Bill Belichick.

Bellamy is not a great pass rusher yet, but given time to develop and add weight, he very well could be one day. Matt Patricia is likely to leave as the Patriots defensive coordinator, but the replacement options include current linebacker coach Brian Flores. He’s done a great job with whatever cards he’s dealt, and Bill Belichick would surely believe in his abilities to help develop a player like Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Davin Bellamy.
