6. LB Shaun Dion Hamilton, Alabama

Yep, another linebacker. Don’t be surprised if the Patriots draft one or two in the upcoming NFL Draft as James Harrison and Marquis Flowers will likely be gone when the playoffs come to an end. That does still leave a ton of talent on the Patriots roster at the linebacker position like Kyle Van Noy, Elandon Roberts, David Harris, and Dont’a Hightower, but New England is always looking to get better. Addressing the linebackers and the pass rush is likely a Patriots priority.

Alabama’s Shaun Dion Hamilton is projected as a 3rd or 4th rounder and is listed at 6’0″ 232lbs on the Crimson Tide roster. He’s only played in 9 games for Alabama this season, but he’s recorded 40 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 2 passes defended, and a forced fumble. A big performance in the National Championship Game could go a long way in helping his case for the NFL.
