4. Protect Tom Brady in the pocket

Protecting Tom Brady is always crucial for the Patriots offense, but it may be even more so this week. As everyone in America knows, Brady is dealing with a hand injury. His right hand was injured in practice on Wednesday, and it’s believed that it happened on a handoff to running back Rex Burkhead. Now, the Patriots offensive line will have to make sure that hand stays safe throughout the game, against one of the best pass rushes in the league. Calais Campbell and Yannick Ngakoue will be coming after TB12 all day long, and if they reach him you know they’ll be swiping at that throwing hand.

If Brady is comfortable and protected, and if he is able to easily step up in the pocket, the Patriots offense should have no problem slowly picking apart this Jaguars defense. Pass routes may take some time to develop against Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye, so Brady will need time in the pocket. Of all the battles in this game, make sure you keep your eyes on the trenches because that’s where this game will be won.
