2. Force the Jaguars to turn the ball over

The Jaguars usually win the turnover battle, but if New England really wants to be successful today they’ll find a way to get the ball from Jacksonville. Jacksonville’s QB Blake Bortles has only ever gone, at most, three games without throwing an interception. That stretch came earlier in the 2017 season, and now his streak is up to 2 games after wins over the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers. Statistically, it’s extremely likely that a Bortles pass ends up in the hands of a Patriots defender. Stephon Gilmore has been spectacular lately, and it wouldn’t surprise anyone if he’s the one that comes down with that interception.

New England could also look to rip the ball out of the arms of a banged up Leonard Fournette. He was injured in last weekends game against Pittsburgh, although he did return in the second half. If he’s not 100% ready to go though, the Patriots have a huge advantage. In 2017, Fournette only fumbled twice in 13 games, but New England defenders can be relentless in their pursuit of the ball.
