Don’t overreact QUITE yet

With all that said, it is one game. Yes, Marcus Morris’ play was encouraging. Al Horford showed no signs of slowing down in a great postseason run. The Cavs couldn’t hit a three to save LeBron’s chances of staying in Cleveland.

But this doesn’t mean Celtics in 4. Or 5. Or maybe even 6 or 7. This was a great start that needs to be built upon. Celebrate and enjoy it. Relish in the fact that LeBron failed to win Game 1 in Boston. No one can say that dreaming of the best case scenario isn’t a fun thing to do.

But the NBA Finals might as well be ten years away. The Celtics have to defeat someone who hasn’t lost in the Eastern Conference Playoffs since 2010 three more times.

Next: Bring on LeBron James

One big one down, still three huge ones to go. Let’s Go Celtics!
