With the 2018 NBA Draft just a couple days away, Danny Ainge and the Boston Celtics are about to be on the clock.

Although the NBA season just came to a close with the Golden State Warriors hoisting another NBA championship, a new league year is right around the corner.  For the Boston Celtics, the 2018 NBA Daft will be the first step in their quest to dethrone that super team from Oakland.

Taking place on June 21, the draft is set to be a fun night for all NBA fans. Unlike the previous two draft, Boston doesn’t hold a lottery pick.

But, that doesn’t mean Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge won’t attempt to try to move up and acquire a top 10 pick.

The Celtics traded their cash cow in the form of the Brooklyn Nets pick in the trade for Kyrie Irving before the 2017 season. This, in turn, leaves the Celtics with only their pick this season, which sits at No. 27.

This year, the draft class looks fairly deep from top to bottom. There, of course, is some very raw prospects, but for the most part, there looks to be many players who could come in and contribute right away.

Coming just a quarter short of making it to the NBA Finals, the Celtics are a young team with a “win now” mentality.

With where they are positioned in the draft, they are looking to find a steal.  Unless, of course, Ainge does find a way to move higher in the draft.

Here are three NBA prospects the Boston Celtics should target in Thursday night’s draft.
