Danny Ainge makes a splash and trade for a lottery pick

With the Memphis Grizzlies (No. 4) shopping around their pick and other teams in the lottery willing to listen to possible deals, the Boston Celtics moving up is a real possibility.

While the team is not willing to part with players like Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, a player like Terry Rozier included in a package with their chest of future draft picks could get them into the top 10.

If that happens, Michael Porter Jr. could be a target or if they get into the top 5, a player like Mo Bamba could be there for the taking.

One player who Danny Ainge reportedly loves is Luka Doncic.  With both the Atlanta Hawks (No. 3) apparently also intrigued by the EuroLeague star, it is highly unlikely a deal between the two teams will happen without the Celtics including Brown.

That scenario isn’t going to happen.  If it does, Danny Ainge will send shock waves throughout Celtics Nation.  And whatever player he selects would have to be higher ceiling (in his mind) than Jaylen Brown.
