The Boston Red Sox look to get back to their winning ways against the struggling Chicago White Sox, Boston is 6-7 in their last 13 games.

We are now heading into the last month of regular season baseball. The Boston Red Sox has the best record in baseball at 92-42, but have stumbled recently. Possibly reeling things back in preparation for October, Boston needs to be careful seeing as New York is only 7.5 games back in the AL East.

Placing star pitcher Chris Sale on the DL twice in August tells us that Boston is being conservative. 100 -plus  wins and a fancy regular season record is nice, but Alex Cora clearly wants the Red Sox at full strength heading into October.

Boston knows that when firing on all cylinders, they are the best team in baseball, but that doesn’t always happen. The Red Sox will need to continue their hitting dominance, while also having solid starting pitcher’s. Starting pitcher David Price left Wednesday’s game after pitching 5 inning with a wrist injury, hopefully it is nothing serious.

We need all our pitchers at their best, if healthy, Sale will be Boston’s go to starter. David Price and Rick Porcello follow suit, although inconsistent at times, Price and Porcello can hold their own. Eduardo Rodriquez could be the key, the 25-year-old pitcher is having his best year, if Rodriquez stays healthy, he can be a dominating force in October.
