The No.2 corner

I’m sorry guys I cheated a little bit, but this is the best way to get my point across. The Patriots need a much better effort from their 2nd corner. I don’t know if that will be Jason McCourty or Eric Rowe, but they need to play better.

Stephon Gilmore has been pretty good in coverage. The touchdown he gave up on Sunday wasn’t his fault. The safety is supposed to stay with the receiver. You even see Gilmore point to Duron Harmon.

Jason McCourty didn’t cement his spot so if Eric Rowe is healthy I expect him to be opposite Gilmore in Week 4. The Patriots need to be a brick wall in coverage and also be much better tackling. I’m fine with the Patriots giving up short passes, but they need to make the open field tackles.

We saw opposing wideouts put the Patriots corners on skates. Ever since the Super Bowl tackling has been an issue for the secondary. Hopefully, the issue is resolved in Week 4.

Next. It’s onto Miami for a must-win AFC East showdown. dark

Sunday will be a big game no matter the result. If the Patriots win it will signify the ship being righted, but if they lose it seems like the Patriots season could be over before we even get to the trade deadline.
