Don’t back down

If things do not go well early, the Boston Red Sox have to show that same fight they have been known for all season long.

Unlike the last couple of playoff teams, this team has leadership and character.  They have a manager in Alex Cora who can get the best out of his players.  They have a hungry veteran in J.D. Martinez who has not backed down from the big market atmosphere of Boston.

This team has young players in Mookie Betts, Xander Bogaerts and Rafael Devers capable of delivering the big hit when the pressure is on.  As a collective team, they have to be patient and aggressive at the same time.  Offensively, challenge Severino.  On the mound, come after Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton.

That is easier said than done in the dramatic moments that are the players, especially with this rivalry, but mental toughness will deliver this team the victory they need if they simply don’t back down and #DoDamage when their opportunities arise.
